Best time to go

Once you arrive on your bike, give yourself about 1.5–2 hours to explore. My Son is a cluster of red-brick Hindu temple groups (labelled A to H) built by the Cham kingdom to honour Shiva. Highlights include the larger towers of groups B, C and D, intricate sandstone carvings, and a small museum near the entrance that explains the site’s history. There’s also a short traditional Cham dance performance most mornings.

Wear comfortable shoes for the uneven paths, bring water and sun protection, and explore the quieter back groups for atmospheric photos without the crowds.
