Who the Yamaha PG-1 suits

The PG-1 sits between a scooter and a proper dirt bike. Choose it for rice-field lanes, back roads and easy gravel tracks, or simply because you like how it looks. If you have only ridden automatics, we include a short free lesson at pick-up, and most people get the hang of the gears in about five minutes.

It is less suited to long, fast days. On the highway to Hue or a two-up climb over the Hai Van Pass, a 155cc bike such as the Yamaha WR155R is more relaxed. Staying in town? An automatic such as the Honda Vision is cheaper and simpler.

You can leave your luggage at our shop while you ride, so it is easy to set out for the day with just a small bag.

Around Hoi An, the small lanes between the rice fields are where the tyres pay off. Lanes can turn to deep mud after heavy rain, so turn back if you cannot see the surface.

How much does the Yamaha PG-1 cost to rent in Hoi An?

From 200,000₫ per day. Rentals of 7 days or more get 10% off and 30 days or more get 30% off. We confirm the final price by message before you ride.

I have only ridden automatics. Can I handle the PG-1?

Most people get it in five minutes: you shift with your toe and there is no clutch lever to stall. We include a short free lesson at pick-up before you leave.

Is the PG-1 OK on dirt roads and beach paths?

Light off-road is what it is built for: gravel, packed dirt and paddy lanes. It is not a motocross bike, so skip deep sand and mud.

Can two people ride the PG-1?

Yes. The flat, wide seat is comfortable for two around town and on country lanes. For long two-up days or the Hai Van Pass, a bigger bike is more relaxed.

PG-1 or Honda Wave?

Both are semi-automatic. The Wave costs 150,000₫ a day and suits sealed roads. The PG-1 costs 50,000₫ more for the chunky tyres, the retro look and the extra confidence on rough lanes.

What licence do I need for the PG-1?

A motorbike licence that covers 115cc, plus an IDP under the 1968 convention. If you have no licence, choose from our 50cc and electric fleet instead.

Can you deliver the PG-1 to my hotel?

Yes. Hotel delivery in Hoi An starts from 30,000₫, every day from 07:00 to 21:00. Picking it up at 84 Phan Chau Trinh is free.

You must hold a valid driving licence applicable to the vehicle category you are renting. No license is required for electric bikes and 50cc models.
Minimum age to rent: 18 years old.
You are responsible for all traffic fines, penalties, and violations incurred during the rental period.
Wearing a helmet is mandatory at all times while riding.
Riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.
You must not sub-rent, lend, or transfer the motorbike to any third party.
The motorbike must be kept safe and securely locked when not in use.

Please inspect the motorbike thoroughly before departure and report any existing damage to our staff.
No modifications, alterations, or tampering with the motorbike are permitted.
Off-road use is not permitted unless the model is specifically designed for it.
The motorbike must be used for personal transportation purposes only.
You are responsible for fuel costs during the rental period, unless the Full Tank add-on is selected. Electric bikes: battery swaps at our shop are always free.

Free self-pickup at our office: 84 Phan Chau Trinh, Hoi An.
Hotel / door delivery is available for 30,000 VND within Hoi An city.
Delivery and pickup hours: 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM daily.
The motorbike must be returned at the agreed location and time.
Late returns are charged at one additional rental-day rate per 24 hours overdue.
Please notify us at least 2 hours in advance if you need to change your return time or location.

Full payment is required at the time of pickup.
A security deposit of 2,000,000 VND (or a copy of your passport) is required.
The deposit is fully refunded upon return of the motorbike in the same condition.
No refund is given for early returns, unless agreed upon in advance.
Accepted payment methods: cash (VND) or bank transfer.

You are financially responsible for all damage to the motorbike, regardless of fault.
In the event of an accident, contact us immediately before making any payment to police or third parties.
Do not admit liability or pay any fine or compensation without first consulting us.
Motorbike insurance (if purchased) covers partial repair costs — refer to insurance terms for details.
In the event of theft or total loss, the replacement cost will be charged to you.
Minor scratches and normal wear are exempt; significant damage will be assessed and charged at cost of repair.
