Every business in Hoi An has a story. Ours — Anh Khoa Motorbike Rental Hoi An — starts in 2018 with one local guy, a handful of scooters in a small garage, and a simple belief: the real Hoi An only opens up when you can explore it on your own two wheels.
№ 01How it started
Hoi An is one of Vietnam’s most magical places — lantern-lit streets, golden rice paddies, a coastline that runs for miles. But seen from a taxi window or a tour bus, most of it slips past. Our founder, Anh Khoa, grew up here and knew that gap well: the town tourists see and the town locals love are connected by small roads no bus ever takes.
So in 2018 he started renting out a handful of well-kept scooters from a small garage, with a promise attached to every key: honest prices, bikes you can trust, and real local advice on where to ride. Word spread the way it does in Hoi An — one traveler telling another over cao lầu — and the garage kept growing.

Safety first
Every bike passes a 20-point pre-rental check before it reaches you — brakes, tires, lights, the lot. Two quality helmets, raincoats and a phone holder come standard with every rental.
Transparency
The price you see is the price you pay — no hidden fees, no passport held hostage (a photo is all we need), and a clear policy for every what-if, from late returns to lost keys.
Local knowledge
Our team are Hoi An people. Ask us where to catch sunrise without the crowds, which paddy roads are prettiest this month, or where the locals actually eat — the riding map we include is drawn from years of living here.
