None of this is buried in our terms — it is here because these four things cause almost every argument at a rental counter in Hoi An, ours included.
Do you need a licence?
For anything 50cc or under, and for electric bikes, no — you can ride those legally in Vietnam with no licence and no IDP. We keep 6 of them. For a 110cc+ scooter or any manual bike you need a valid licence covering motorbikes, and for most visitors that means an International Driving Permit issued under the 1968 Convention, carried with your home licence. Riding without one is illegal and voids travel insurance — that second part is what actually hurts.
Damage is on you
You are financially responsible for damage to the bike regardless of fault. That is standard across Vietnam, not an Anh Khoa quirk. If anything happens, call us before you pay anyone — roadside “repair” quotes to foreigners are a local sport. See our damage fee list so there are no surprises.
Delivery & collection hours
Delivery and pickup run 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily. Hotel delivery is 30,000₫ within Hoi An; collecting from the office at 84 Phan Chu Trinh is free. Need to change your return time or place? Tell us at least 2 hours ahead.
Late returns
Every 24 hours overdue is charged as one extra rental day — no partial-day fudging in either direction. If your flight moves, message us; it is nearly always fine when we know in advance.

Peak season pricing
For most of the year you pay exactly what is in the table above. During the busiest weeks, rates can rise by up to 10% — that pays for the extra servicing and staff it takes to keep enough working bikes on the road, and it means delivery slots and 24/7 assistance carry on as normal instead of quietly disappearing when we get busy.

Reserve 1–2 weeks early for peak dates. It locks the bike you actually want rather than whatever is left, and group bookings can qualify for a promotion or a free upgrade — ask when you book.
Changing plans
Standard cancellation policy applies at peak too. Demand is higher, so give us as much notice as you can — it lets us re-let the bike and keeps everyone civil.

- Note: The bike color may differ from the photos displayed on our website.
- Accessories Provided: Choose from 3/4-face helmets or half-face helmets, rain ponchos, and a phone holder.
- Deposit, your choice: either 2,000,000₫ in cash, or simply a photo of your passport — whichever you prefer. Cash deposits are returned in full when the bike comes back in the same condition.
- Payment: cash in VND or bank transfer, due at pickup.
