Is it legal to ride a 50cc bike in Vietnam without a license?
Yes. Under Vietnamese law, motorbikes under 50cc can be ridden without a motorbike license, so travelers without an IDP can ride legally. You should still carry your passport or ID and always wear a helmet (included free).
How much does a 50cc bike cost to rent?
The SYM Shark 50cc and KYMCO Like 50cc are 200,000₫ (~$8) per day. If you want an even cheaper license-free option, our e-bikes start at 100,000₫ (~$4) per day.
How fast does a 50cc scooter go — is it enough for Hoi An?
Around 40–50 km/h, which is ideal for Hoi An: the Old Town, An Bang Beach, Tra Que Village and the rice paddies are all within easy reach. For longer trips to Da Nang we recommend a bigger scooter.
Can two people ride one 50cc bike?
