Hoi An is a town of tailors, lanterns and long lunches — but if you are here for more than a week, sooner or later you want a proper gym. The good news: the town now has a dozen real options, several of them with imported Technogym and Life Fitness kit, and a monthly membership costs less than a single session with a personal trainer back home. This guide lists 12 gyms in Hoi An with addresses, phone numbers and current price ranges, grouped by neighbourhood so you can pick the one you will actually walk or ride to — plus the things nobody tells foreigners: how day passes really work, what to bring, and the local gym etiquette.

About the prices: the figures above are the advertised starting rates as of 2026 and they move — with promotions, season, and how many months you pay upfront. Treat them as a guide for budgeting, then confirm at the door. Nearly every gym here gives a better rate for 3, 6 or 12 months, typically 10–15% off.
Gyms in Hoi An: Cam Chau & Cua Dai side
If you rented a place between the Old Town and An Bang beach, these are your closest options.

Fit Nation Gym — 02 Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Cam Chau · 0935 464 234
The one most foreigners end up at. Open-plan space with natural light, Technogym imports, Zumba / yoga / stretching classes, and a young, sociable crowd. From 250,000₫/month, PT around 1,200,000₫/month — the best value-to-quality ratio in town. Downside: at peak hours (17:30–19:30) there are more members than trainers.

Cong Manh Fitness Gym Center — 128 Do Dang Tuyen, Son Pho 2, Cam Chau · 0707 404 222
The proper local gym: MBH machines, free weights, no frills, genuinely friendly staff. Gym, yoga and Zumba classes posted on their Facebook. From 280,000₫/month, PT about 1,400,000₫. Cardio machines can be fully booked at peak hour — go at 06:00 or after 20:00.
Hoi An Zen Fitness — 227 Cua Dai, Cam Chau · 0905 606 547
Exactly what the name suggests: neutral tones, plants, natural light, Technogym kit and a calm atmosphere. Strong on yoga, Pilates and stretching — the pick if you want to train without loud music or a queue for the squat rack. From 320,000₫/month, PT around 1,500,000₫. Equipment count is limited, so avoid the busiest evening slot.
Near the Old Town — Son Phong & Tan An
Staying central or walking distance from the lanterns? These three are the ones you can reach on foot or in a five-minute ride.

HealthFit Gym & Yoga Center — 120 Ly Thai To · 0935 800 576
Probably the most complete package in Hoi An: Life Fitness machines, clearly zoned areas (free weights, cardio, functional, stretching), group classes including yoga, HIIT and dance fitness, InBody body composition testing and internationally certified trainers. There is a separate, quiet yoga room — rare here. From 350,000₫/month, PT up to 1,800,000₫. The PT rate is the highest in town; the facility justifies it.

SuperFit Hoi An Fitness — 101 Ly Thai To, Son Phong · 0235 3938 333
Big, bright, spotless. Full MBH equipment set, group classes (yoga, HIIT, cardio burn), certified trainers who build individual programmes, free InBody measurement and regular seasonal promotions. From 300,000₫/month, PT about 1,500,000₫. A solid default if you want a professional gym without hunting around.
HGC – Hoi An Gym Club — 145 Le Hong Phong, Tan An · 0906 481 409
Different concept: this is a personal-training studio rather than a big-box gym. Life Fitness equipment, non-slip rubber floor, sensible layout, and every trainer certified in both coaching and nutrition. If your goal is a specific body change in 8–12 weeks and you want someone watching every rep, this is the address. From 350,000₫/month, PT around 1,600,000₫.
Cam Ha, Thanh Ha & Cam Kim — quieter, cheaper, more local

Hoang Dung Fitness & Kick Boxing Center — 25 Trang Keo 5, Cam Ha · 0935 497 579
The martial arts address in Hoi An: kickboxing, Muay Thai and taekwondo alongside a normal weights floor, with coaches who competed professionally. Also runs rapid weight-loss programmes and female-only PT. 300,000₫/month for the gym; kickboxing with a personal coach around 1,500,000₫. Mats can run short at peak class times.
New City Gym & Fitness Club — 02 Dien Bien Phu, Thanh Ha · 0973 537 263
One of the largest floors in town, Life Fitness and Technogym machines, zoned into cardio / free weights / functional / yoga-Zumba, with proper air conditioning — a real consideration in June and July. From 300,000₫/month, PT about 1,400,000₫. Busy late afternoon; come earlier.
New Life Gym Center — 405 Hai Ba Trung, Cam Son · 038 823 8017
Spacious, clean, MBH equipment covering all the main muscle groups, gym and beginner yoga classes on a fixed timetable. The staff here are known for actually remembering your name and tracking your progress. From 300,000₫/month, with frequent promos and free trial sessions for newcomers.
Nom Gym Center — To 10B, Trung Ha hamlet, Cam Kim · 0766 762 262
A small, genuinely local gym on Cam Kim island. MBH basics — treadmill, free weights, chest press, lat pulldown — plus Zumba and beginner classes, in a quiet setting at the lowest prices in the area. Perfect if you are staying on the island; a long ride if you are not.
Also still around, worth a look if they are near you: Gym Lam Hong Khanh, Song Phom Gym, Trinh Xuan Fitness Club and the CrossFit-style Fitness & Yoga centre. These are smaller neighbourhood gyms without much online presence — best approach is simply to walk in and ask for the current monthly rate.
Yoga, boxing, CrossFit and group classes
Not every visitor looking for gyms in Hoi An wants a weights room. Here is how the rest of the fitness scene breaks down.
- Yoga — HealthFit has a dedicated, separate yoga room; Hoi An Zen Fitness leans into yoga, Pilates and stretching in a calm space. Both suit beginners and anyone recovering from injury. Beach yoga at An Bang also pops up seasonally.
- Kickboxing & martial arts — Hoang Dung is the clear answer, with coaches who fought competitively. Good for people who get bored on a treadmill.
- HIIT & group training — HealthFit and SuperFit both run HIIT and cardio-burn classes; Fit Nation and Cong Manh run Zumba, which is more popular here than you might expect.
- Functional / CrossFit-style — New City has a proper functional zone; a CrossFit-flavoured fitness and yoga centre also operates in town. Ask about class times before signing up — schedules change with the season.
- Swimming — no public 25m pool in town. Options are hotel and resort day passes (see below), or simply the sea at An Bang beach, ten minutes away by bike.
Day passes at gyms in Hoi An, short stays and hotel gyms
This is the part most guides skip, and it is exactly what a traveller staying five days needs to know.
Day passes exist, but they are not always advertised. Most Hoi An gyms are built around monthly memberships for locals, so a single-visit rate is something you ask for at the desk rather than find on a price list. Expect roughly 40,000–70,000₫ for a drop-in where it is offered.
Do the maths before you buy a day pass. If you are here a week or more, a one-month membership at 250,000–350,000₫ often costs less than four or five drop-ins. Several gyms will simply say yes if you ask for a short-term rate.
Ask for a free trial session. Trying one workout before paying is normal and widely offered here — New Life in particular is known for it. Use it to check the air conditioning, the crowd at your usual hour, and whether the equipment you care about actually exists.
Hotel and resort gyms. Many mid-range and upmarket properties around Cua Dai and An Bang sell gym-and-pool day passes to non-guests, usually bundled with pool access. This is often the best choice for a short stay: you get a workout and a swim in one. Prices vary a lot by property, so call ahead.
Gyms in Hoi An: what to bring and local etiquette
- Bring your own towel and a padlock. Lockers are free at most gyms but padlocks usually are not provided. Towels are rarely included at the cheaper places.
- Indoor shoes matter. Riding a motorbike in flip-flops then training in them is a bad idea; most gyms expect proper trainers on the floor.
- Water is free at most gyms, but bring a bottle anyway — refill stations beat plastic cups, and Hoi An summers are humid.
- Peak hours are 17:30–19:30, when locals finish work. Mornings from 05:00–07:00 are surprisingly busy too (people train before the heat), while 09:00–16:00 is nearly empty.
- Payment is usually cash for monthly memberships at smaller gyms; bigger centres take bank transfer. Ask before you assume a card will work.
- Etiquette: re-rack your weights, wipe machines down, and do not hog a station during peak hour. Trainers here are friendly and will often correct your form unasked — take it as help, not criticism.
- Contracts: read what happens if you leave early. Most gyms here are relaxed and month-to-month, but longer discounted packages are generally non-refundable.
Getting there: distances and parking
Hoi An is flat and small — almost every gym on this list sits within a 10-minute ride of the Old Town. What matters is which side of town you sleep on.
- Old Town / An Hoi: HealthFit and SuperFit on Ly Thai To are 5 minutes; you can walk if you are staying central.
- Cam Chau / on the way to the beach: Fit Nation, Cong Manh and Zen Fitness are 3–7 minutes.
- An Bang beach: Hoang Dung in Cam Ha is closest, around 8 minutes.
- Thanh Ha / west side: New City is right there; the Old Town gyms are 8–10 minutes.
- Parking: every gym here has free motorbike parking on site or right outside — a genuine advantage over city gyms in Da Nang.
A bicycle covers most of these distances comfortably. A motorbike or electric scooter makes more sense if your gym is on the far side of town, if you train after dark, or if you want the freedom to swim at An Bang after a session. Foreign riders: remember a petrol bike legally requires a licence plus a 1968-convention IDP — see our IDP guide. Electric scooters need no licence at all, which is why most long-stayers here end up on one.
People come to Hoi An for two weeks and stay three months. That is when they start asking us where the gym is — and where to rent a bike by the month to get there.
