The ideal time to visit Ba Den Mountain is in the dry season, from November to May next year.
You should avoid going in the rainy season, which is from June to October. What to prepare when traveling to Ba Den Mountain?
What to prepare when traveling to Ba Den Mountain?
Because traveling back and forth during the day, you do not need to bring a lot of things. If you decide to take the cable car up the mountain, you can bring a little more luggage, but if you climb the stairs, bring only what is necessary. Some items to bring are as follows:
- Full identity papers, vehicle papers.
- Raincoat (if you go in the dry season, you don’t need it).
- Power bank, selfie stick, tripod (if you like).
- Smartphone with full 3G, 4G for convenient navigation according to Google Map. You should also prepare batteries, free memory to take photos comfortably.
- Sunscreen (even though this is the rainy season, it’s cool, but the sun is still harmful to your skin).
- Hats, sun hats.
- A jacket for sun protection and cold protection because at the top of the mountain, the temperature is quite low, with a lot of fog and clouds.
- If you go overnight, you need to bring a flashlight and when climbing, you should have climbing shoes and drinking water, sticks, sweat towels. At night in the mountains, snakes, centipedes and insects appear, so be careful with this.
- Helmet to protect your safety if you go on a trip by motorbike rental.

How to get there and means of transportation to Ba Den Mountain
If traveling by motorbike, car or other personal means, you can choose the following 2 routes:
- The first road you can apply is along National Highway 22A. You will meet Trang Bang junction, then turn right and go to provincial road 782 for another 50km to reach Tay Ninh. After running for another 11km, you can reach Ba Den Mountain. If you take this route, you will shorten a lot of travel time (normally about 2.5 hours to 3 hours). However, you also need to pay attention because there are some narrow roads that are quite difficult to go.
- The second road you can apply is running from Ho Chi Minh City to Trang Bang junction. Next, you turn left to reach Go Dau town, then turn right and follow Highway 22B. Continue running for another 60km to reach the roundabout of Tay Ninh city. This route is farther than the 1st route, but in return the road is quite easy to go and the roadside scenery is also extremely eye-catching. You will be immersed in the vast rice field scenery, the beauty of Vam Co Dong river.
If you don’t want to take a private car, you can take a bus from Ho Chi Minh City. For example, bus number 703 (Ben Thanh – Moc Bai route and vice versa). After stopping at Moc Bai, you continue to take bus 05 to Tay Ninh. Or you can take bus number 13, number 94, number 74 to Cu Chi bus station. From the bus station, you continue to take bus number 603 to Tay Ninh and vice versa. This route also stops at Tay Ninh city.
